Our Story

LUMANG OTO Old Car Junkies started as a facebook  page with intent to create a network among Filipino classic car owners and enthusiasts within the Los Angeles area. Although Filipinos in general are car lovers, there were very few that are actively involved in the old car hobby (at least as far as I thought). Sure you will meet one driving a ‘69 Oldsmobile 442, or a ’61 Chevrolet Corvair once in a while, but there was no solid network.

Although it is slowly serving its purpose, LUMANG OTO eventually became a magazine-type facebook page that attracted an International audience as passion for old cars knows no boundaries, thus the change in demographics.

Whether you are driving an old dilapidated VW Bug that you inherited from your Dad, planning to buy your next Mustang project, acquiring an old Toyopet (either out of necessity or to satisfy a passion) or you are an owner of an old Ferrari Daytona because you made it big in the business world, it didn’t really matter. The love for old cars transcends both economics and politics…. and LUMANG OTO will cover it all. At LUMANG OTO, we will talk about anything and everything under the sun – well, as long as it’s about old cars. We will cover everything from projects to concours, talk about history of both famous and forgotten cars of yester years, and we will feature everything about the old car culture from car shows to racing events and everything in between.

Lastly and more importantly, we would love to feature your old rides as often as we could so please submit good HD photos of your cars with detailed descriptions of it at [email protected] if you want your car featured (Click link on instruction on how to submit your ride)

We will keep our facebook page active but please tell your friends who loves cars (or even those who don’t – we will convince them to enjoy old cars as well) about this website.
I really hope you enjoy this web magazine. This is a brand new thing so please let me know what you think about it. Best regards,

Ericson S,
